The Rochester Community Band is open to all woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians; no audition is required. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for life-long musical expression and enjoyment by providing quality and challenging musical experiences for its members, while educating and entertaining family audiences in Southeastern Minnesota. If you are interested in playing with the band, come to Lourdes High School band room (2800 19th Street NW, Rochester, MN 55901) on Thursday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Membership dues are $50 per year, and are pro-rated if you join during the last half of the year. If the dues are a financial hardship for you, just let us know. Money collected from membership dues is used to pay our director(s), purchase new music, rent concert space, and offer a donation to Lourdes High School for letting us use their band room and equipment. Dues are currently payable by cash or check; we are working on setting up an online payment system as well--stay tuned!
